I started reading will finish this weekend.
After just reading the intro of the Author, I find it rather curious that he dedicates his life to his people but forgets who he need to be. That is true to himself first. I presume that he finds who he is while in prison. More reading to go

I am about half way through it and really enjoying it. I will hopefully finish this weekend and start my paper. Has anybody found anything that they can make connections to yet?

ReplyDeleteI myself just started reading what has been assigned to us and find it very interesting as well that Napolean dedicates his life to his people but loses sight of the type of man he needs to be. But you have to kinda wonder if by dedicating his time/life to his people, that he's already full filling his destiny. He maybe the leader of the tribe instead of a follower. I dont know yet, for i havent read very much. But i'm very curious to find out what else is to come.
ReplyDeleteI think the best way to learn about something is from someone who has experienced it. Yes, the author lost himself, but what better way to avoid doing that oneself than by hearing his story? In the case of Alaska Natives and alcohol abuse, they can learn from his mistakes and avoid making the same ones themselves.
